About Us

Welcome to Invisible Dangers. We are an independent publishing platform that explores things that matter in everyday life.

Not everything we cover is dangerous on its own. But when something is overlooked, misunderstood, misused, or begins to carry consequences we didn’t see coming, we believe it’s worth paying attention to. Invisible Dangers covers a wide range of topics, including health, environmental exposures, technology, surveillance and privacy, social and consumer issues, emerging issues that affect everyday life, and more.

Through research, investigations, and firsthand experiences, we take a closer look at topics that we think deserve a little more attention. We’ll examine what is known or overlooked, and dive deeper into how things work and how they affect people, communities, the environment, animals, and even the future.

Invisible Dangers is grounded in integrity, and it is our mission to provide reliable, useful information and tools and to encourage critical thinking. We give curious minds a place to explore. There will always be more to learn, and more worth questioning, because things don’t always have to be visible to the eye to be experienced, measured, or have real-life consequences. Join us in our effort to make the invisible visible!

Thanks for stopping by. We hope you’ll keep exploring with us as we continue to expand.

Why I Created Invisible Dangers

Invisible Dangers began with curiosity, but over the years it became much more personal than that.

I’ve always been curious about the world around me, like how things work and what happens behind the scenes. Over the years, I’ve followed that curiosity wherever it led and dug deeper into subjects that piqued my interest.

Over a decade ago, I became interested in public health and environmental exposures, which led me to a few short-lived advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. Later, in 2019, I became involved with a group raising awareness about EMFs and health effects. This work ignited a passion inside of me I had never felt before. I quickly built online spaces to share information, spoke in communities, rallied in neighborhoods, and connected with advocacy groups and people worldwide.

And that was when the idea for Invisible Dangers was born.

EMFs and their health effects quickly became personal after I realized I was living close to a cell phone tower, and later learned I was within its direct beamforming path.

During the 7 years I lived in that apartment, I dealt with many health-related things, including several direct mold exposures, increasing sensitivity to EMFs, and confusing and sometimes sporadic health issues that resulted in recurring prescriptions, doctor visits and a growing list of symptoms.

My health was quietly declining and I didn’t understand what was going on. I kept quiet and pushed through like nothing was wrong.

In 2023, I moved away thinking I would get better. Instead, my life turned upside down after taking two rounds of a well-known fluoroquinolone antibiotic, Levofloxacin (Levaquin), for a suspected UTI. I had never heard of fluoroquinolone toxicity before (commonly known as being “floxed”) and would have never imagined it would take me over 3 years to feel close to “normal” again. For several years I barely recognized my own life, even though I looked “fine” on the outside. Talk about invisible dangers!

Over the years, I documented my symptoms and health changes, and looked for patterns over time. Today, it’s second nature for me to track, question and dig deeper with everything I do, especially regarding my health.

Although the concept for Invisible Dangers came to me years ago, the idea of turning it into a publishing platform came to me in January 2025. At that time, I was still dealing with health issues that made it painful to work long hours and impossible to work full-time, so I needed something with flexibility.

I had already been writing for years, so building Invisible Dangers around long-form content made sense and felt very exciting! Finally, I had a place where I can write about interesting topics, and what I’ve researched, investigated, and have learned in recent years and share it with the world.

I committed myself to building a business I could grow at my own pace, work around my health, and sometimes use to advocate for issues I feel strongly about. Invisible Dangers is not fancy (yet) and I honor its simplicity because it’s the best I can do where I’m at. As it grows, I’ll release more content, make improvements, and keep building it into what I’ve dreamed it can become.

Today, I’m much better, but I’m still monitoring and healing from some of what my body went through over those years and trying to understand the bigger picture of everything that happened. As I continue learning, I hope to share some of that here too.

Thank you for visiting.
